Thank you for your interest in Volunteering with Leonardtown, Maryland. There are many fun volunteer opportunities available. Now you can be a part of helping with exciting annual events like Beach Party, Earth Day and Christmas on the Square or assisting with the monthly First Friday activities. It's a wonderful way to meet others or a great way to foster team building. Volunteer FAQ:
Q: Is there an age requirement to volunteer in Leonardtown?
A: There are opportunities for all ages, however, anyone under 16 would need to be accompanied by a responsible
adult.
Q: What type of tasks will I be asked to do?
A: There are many volunteer opportunities available. Example tasks include the following:

Assist with the setup and/or cleanup for an event - this may include assisting with road closures, putting out signs, setting up tables and chairs, decorating, removing the items after the event, etc.

Prepping for an event - sample tasks may include helping to stuff gift bags, organizing supplies, putting out signs, creating decorations and crafts, etc.

Helping during an event - During an event, volunteer assignments may include helping with check-in, greeting attendees, assisting with crafts, managing an information booth, etc.
Q: How should I dress for an event?
A: We will provide volunteer information and guidelines that include how to dress for an event, but typically
recommend dressing for comfort, safety (non-slip shoes), dressing for the weather, etc.
Q: Are there any Intern or long-term opportunities available?
A: There currently aren't any Intern or long-term opportunities available, however, we will post it here on this page if
one does become available.
Q: Can a Letter of Appreciation be provided for my records?
A: Of course, we happily provide Letters of Appreciation to those who volunteer in Leonardtown. These letters
can be provided after each event or for long-term volunteers, a letter may be provided quarterly or annually.
