Leonardtown Earth Week
The Town of Leonardtown and local Leonardtown Businesses have partnered to bring you the Leonardtown Earth Week Celebration. This week-long event will take place the week of Earth Day (Sunday, April 16th - Sunday, April 23rd), and will include a wide-range of exciting events and activities for all ages including a neighborhood litter cleanup, a clothing swap, free yoga and kayak demos, planting, live music, organic and Vegan food offerings, art and much more! Gather with your friends and family to cleanup around your neighborhood. Post a photo of you/your group doing your cleanup activity to the Town of Leonardtown Facebook Page with the hashtag

between Sunday, April 16th - Friday, April 21st to be entered in a gift drawing for your chance to win a fabulous Leonardtown gift basket with goodies from local Leonardtown businesses (winners will be announced at the Earth Day Opening Ceremony at the Brudergarten at Shepherd's Old Field Market on Saturday, April 22nd. Leonard Hall Junior Naval Academy

Visit the Leonard Hall Junior Naval Academy Spring Fair. The event will feature local vendors, food trucks, face painting, a moon bounce, an obstacle course, an open house and school tours, raffles with a top prize of $1,000, and T-Bone and Heather of 98.3 Star will be broadcasting live at the event. Special Note: The Leonardtown Trolley will make an added stop at Leonard Hall for the day between the hours of 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. Park and ride for free!

due to forecasted inclement weather The art activities for the Plein Air Painting at the Wharf (Rescheduled to April 29th) have been rescheduled. They will now be included as a part of the On the Water's Edge Concert Featuring Leonardo Garcia Y Son Horizonte on Saturday, April 29th from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. So, in addition to great Latin music and dancing, the event will now include the art activities that were planned for later today. Bring your art supplies and join us next Saturday and/or help out with the community mural project led by Adrianna Reloba (sponsored by the St. Mary's County Arts Council). Please note that Carrie Patterson's (The Yellow Line) art class is full, but Carrie plans to have additional tabletop easels available for anyone who wishes to participate (while supplies last). We are sorry to note that the performance from the GrooveSpan Trio and the food trucks (The Real Food Studio and Slim Chickens) have been cancelled for today. Please be sure to mark your calendar for the Fall Plein Air event on September 22nd from 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. when GrooveSpan is next scheduled to perform at the Leonardtown Wharf (more on that event will be announced in the coming months).
