The heart of Downtown Historic Leonardtown is the location of exciting, town events like the annual Beach Party, the Veterans Day Parade and Christmas on the Square. The Square has also been rented by businesses and organizations for popular annual fundraisers and activities.

The park includes special amenities like the kayak launch and the Port of Leonardtown Winery. The launch provides access to McIntosh Run, a water path that leads to Leonardtown Wharf.
